[@Loony] a while back the consensus was made that a single player would control both characters.  This was done so that nobody would have to constantly rely on someone else, and so that one player's time wouldn't be ruined if someone dropped out.  I guess it would be possible to do otherwise depending on Ginger's final word, but I'd be interested to know why you might want that.
