she smiled when Rain commented on her glasses "my eyes kill people and a veil won't stay in place underwater, this is safer" then she turned to water and steeled herself "let's do this"

she carefully watched Maruki as he eyed the people and the mist began to surround them. when his large eyes landed on her, she shrunk back a little and her snakes pressed against her head and hissed. the mist came up and she felt herself changing. it felt more odd then painful. she could feel her legs pulling together, she could feel gills forming. her breath quickened and she grabbed the railing and prepared. As she felt the transformation coming to an end she pulled herself up and over and dove into the ocean. 

she crashed into the ocean and gulped in water. for a second she panicked until her brain reminded her she had gills and could breathe. she took a couple deep breaths before looking around at the others and looking for the merwoman and snake creature. her own snakes huddled against her head, confused. she found Rain "you alright?"

"what now?" Andro asked their companions "where's this temple?"
