In an alien planet that has been devastated by something, the known land has been thought to be only an arid desert wasteland. Humanity has been separated into two groups. The junkers who live on the wastes who have become a hardy stock and live in like what resembles American Western towns and who salvage what remains as materials and whatnot. They also make trade and offer services to the denizens of the Domes. Life inside the domes seems pretty nice as not only is there luxury that can't be found outside. But it also features things like easy access to fresh water, temperatures besides hot and cold, and it features greenery that hasn't been seen. Of course dome life isn't perfect as not only they bigoted and view the junkers as second class citizens, life is controlled by the companies that run the dome and supply it with their network of rail systems, hover caravans, and mechs. People can't exactly go out and leave and only leave when it involves travel to another dome or as traders who interact with the Junkers and their towns. However that isn't stopping people from signing up as merchants as chance to see the world. Some go further as there is talk that world is all not this desert expanse but something green and hospitable lies beyond. They are called the Vagabonds and are treated as a threat in the domes as they organize masses of citizens to leave and try and find the fabled lands and failing that some settle into new towns or add to existing settlement. You will be be playing either a dome dweller or junker and together you will band up and travel on a merchant landship and get involved with some plots and fights with mechs of course too. Anyway way I'm seeing with the characters is everyone has a role of sorts like land ship captain or one of the mech pilot slots. Speaking of mechs there's gonna be a limited amount so I don't get everyone being a pilot.
