The Avengers Unity Squad was formed some time after the events of A vs X [or Avengers vs X-Men] to try and bridge the gap between mutants and average humans by actively recruiting more mutants into the Avengers. After the first X-Man, Cyclops, claimed the power of the Phoenix, Prof. X gave his life saving his students and rescuing Scott Summers from the possession of the entity. While this ended the battle between mutants and Avengers, it left the world in shock prompting Steve Rogers to make a new team that included more mutants. The initial line up had Captain America [Steve Rogers] letting Cyclops' brother Havok take the field leader role with Scarlet Witch, Rogue, Thor, and Wolverine. Later on the group would gain another mutant in Sunfire, as well as Wonder Man and the Wasp. The team mostly fought against the Red Skull and later the new Horsemen of Apocalypse. In the flagship Avengers team, the group gained mutant members Sunspot, Cannonball, and Manifold.

Present Day...

Steve Rogers has been aged dramatically, dropping out of active duty and passing the mantle of Capt. America on to Falcon. The Unity Squad was practically over, but Rogers' dream of a more accepting world pushed him to keep it alive. After getting the likes of the Black Panther on board to help lead this motley crew, Rogers recruited several mutants who weren't as effected by the A vs X battle as others. And just in time as a mutant vampire-like creature has been spotted traveling up the east coast!

This game will take place in the present day and the events of A vs X will have happened three months prior. Note above that it ended a little differently in this RP as to free up more characters. The first Unity Squad [Uncanny Avengers] will have dis-banned in the last week and any history involving the later teams in the comics will not be cannon
