"THE FIRST TWO DUELS HAVE COME TO A CLOSE!!" Just as each duelist left their arena, Melchior's voice rang loudly over the speakers once more. That excitement was hard to mask for them. "We have seen some great dueling so far!" they began their little spiel. "The first set was quickly taken by Akira, who showed us an amazing Pendulum Summon! Megan had tried to keep up, but her monsters were soon overwhelmed by the lustrous Odd-Eyes Dragon! She had tried to make a comeback, but when Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon came out her fate was sealed! Congratulations to Akira!!" And so ends the first recap, but the pause wasn't long before Melchior began to rant again. "AND, IN ARENA TWO, we had seen Ethel and Venwyn's struggle for control! Both duelists showed some excellent card play, forethought and planning! Ethel had shown to keep the field for herself the entire time, but Venwyn was always planning. When it was time for a counter-attack, Venwyn did not pull punches! Ethel had tried to save herself with Raidraptors Readiness, but it was too late! Ghostrick witch's attack was too strong, and Ethel decided to honor the victory by giving Venwyn a heartfelt congratulation!! It brings a tear to my eye... VENWYN, I CONGRATULATE YOOUUUU!" Somehow, it actually seemed as if Melchior was sobbing. Those sounds soon came to an end, though, as a loud *SMACK* could be heard from across the microphone. Melchior seemed to clear his throat, then continued. "But this was not the end! For now four more duelists will show off their very best, and compete, for the audience's sake! Leeeeet's see, WHO, IS, NEXT!" On cue, the screen hanging from the middle of the room lit up again with all the names. The first one to branch off was the name Akemi Ael, related to Venwyn most likely, and it searched around for a while until it met... Hayate Ray! "THE FIRST MATCH-UP HAS BEEN MADE CLEAR! In Arena one, AKEMI VERSUUUUUS... HA-YA-TE!" Some might say Melchior was taking this a bit too far. Melchior don't care. He be having the time of his life. The next name to start searching was of a boy named Andre Carson, searching for a little less time than Akemi did and eventually settling on Haas Mesman. "THE SECOND MATCH-UP IS REVEALED! Over in Arena two, we will witness the dueling of AAAAAANDREEE CARSON, going up against HAAAAAS MESMAN! I can't wait for these duels to go underway, Duelists! Take! Your! Stands!"
Haas whistled when Megan's field blew up withing the first few turns, the redhead unable to make a comeback. What a sad thing to see, it looked like she was trying really hard too... "I kind of feel sorry for Megan," the guy offhandely threw out to Hayate. "Her deck seemed to abandon her there... Wonder what happened?" Not soon after that duel ended, so did the one starring Venwyn. Haas found it a pretty boring duel, neither of them really said much but their card playing was phenomenal. Those two... He could easily see them getting into light. Melchior was being his usual chaotic self over the speakers, and Hayate's name was pulled to duel. "Ah, best of luck. Seems like you've been pulled. I'll be rooting for-" Before Haas could finish what he was saying, the dreaded calling of his name rang out as well. Lovely. "...Huh. We're both dueling. Root for eachother?" He joked, then waved Hayate off. "Better not keep the audience waiting. I'll talk to you after the duel, okay?"
