Geography, and natural resources usually can play an important role in the setting and story. Now that we have the map, we can decide the following:

Where do different species live? Are there any specific areas that a certain species has claimed as their own territory?

How have human activities influenced the environment? (such as the Sahara Desert growing due to over-farming.)

Where are major mountain ranges, lakes, forests, rivers, etc?

Which areas have the most fertile farmland?

Which animals/species live where?

Which natural resources (limestone, oil, etc.) are where? And has scarcity of certain resources caused conflict between different nations or species?
