the posted CS is a WIP, still need some polish. i wanted to ask about the time line.  cos that will effect my personalized history some. the actual Bio/History might receive changes depending on the time line.

is this starting shortly (1-5 years) after the AvX battles?
Also, are RL events relevant at all? (such as Iraq and Afganistan)

Name - James Rupert "Rhodey" Rhodes

Alias - War Machine

Age - 35

Powers -Experienced soldier trained in armed and unarmed combat, Pilot and aviation engineer.
Armor grants:
Superhuman strength
Supersonic flight at Mach 3
Energy repulsors
Several Offensive and Defensive systems:
Shoulder mounted rotary cannon
Shoulder mounted rocket pod
Wrist mounted guns
energy blasters (palms of the hands)
etc.

Weaknesses - only as tough as a soldier without the armor.

Previous Affiliation - Avengers

Personality - Brooding, Honest, Decisive

Brief Bio - Before Rhodey became War Machine, even before he was accociated with the avengers at all, he was a marine who served as he learned Aviation Engineering and piloting. He fought in (Insert country) and learned the seriousness of war and conflict. During the conflict he was captured as a POW by (Insert Group). he was imprisoned for only a few months before Iron Man destroyed the compound and released Rhodey along with many other POWs. during the escape Rhodey learned, through Iron Man, that another compound near by was resisting the Marine's attack. Iron Man was going to leave and aid the Marines. Rhodey decided at his own peril to help Iron man. He hijacked a helicopter that was not damaged and used it with brutal efficiency. he took to the skied and gunned down enemies along side Iron man and the Marines to free the POWs in the camp. 

after the battle was over Tony Stark, who was impressed by Rhodey's skill and bravery, decided to hire Rhodey on to Stark Industries as his personal pilot, and eventually became one of Starks close friends. some time after this, during the massive conflict between the avengers and the Mutant X-men, Rhodey was asked to help and join the Avengers. Rhodey had very mixed feelings about joining the Avengers, but in the end he decided that joining the Avengers would be for the best. Stark designed an combat suit much like his own, but with notable differences. it was somewhat bulkier due to the addition of heavy weapons such as cannons, guns, and rocket pods. with the new combat armor, War Machine was born. he fought against the X-Men, while working hard to keep collateral damage to a minimum and reduce the misery of others who where caught between the warring parties. 

Notes - i am cutting away the vast majority of the War Machine history so that i can make the character my own to a degree. so, War Machine is significantly younger than he would be if i followed cannon strictly. otherwise the basic premise of how he became War Machine is roughly accurate.
