Rori Aherne
Rori had managed to find a spot to sit where it was somewhat quiet, but they still had good views. Even though there were a returning student, and often kept up permanent residence in the academy due to having no home back to, they were still making the boat journey back. Due to the fact that their cousin, Max, was starting at the academy (for reasons entirely unknown to Rori but they could guess) they had been given the opportunity to spend time with Max for a short while. It had been nice to catch up, and it had been far too long since they had last seen each other. They had both changed a lot in different ways. Unfortunately Rori had lost Max on the boat. They had no idea where she had gone and had decided it was probably best to leave her to her own devices. There would be plenty of time to talk later. And anyway this was a good opportunity to spend a bit of time alone, or even talk to some of the others around. Rori was certainly not adverse to making some new friends from the new students. They did quite like people. However it was always somewhat intimidating at first. A lot of the teenagers that were sent here had committed some kind of crime, and that did scare Rori somewhat. But that didn't stop them from looking around curiously at the others. It was difficult to do this slyly due to the limited motion in their eyes forcing them to move their head around. Their gaze came to find a few especially interesting looking individuals. They spent a little to long staring at one who seemed to have... an arm made out of wood? Realising that looking for so long probably wasn't the best idea they moved their head to gaze out at the sea around them. Rori was pretty sure that they could see the academy in the distance... Well it was an almost definite. They did have very good eyesight. Looking back around at the people on the same level as them, they tried to work out who it would be easiest to start a conversation with.

Synnove Ovesen
This was insanely boring. Syn couldn't say that she understood why she hadn't been allowed to bring her personal laptop along with her. Well that was a lie. It didn't have much power to it but she could use it to do all sorts of things. There was hardly internet when on a boat, however, and she wasn't planning on hacking again. At least not into high security places... That was what had landed her here at least. Something vaguely beneficial might come out of this, at least, in terms of her learning how to use her powers better. But she could really do without the boat ride. She was sure this was a point where she was supposed to begin socialisation but one look at the others around her had pushed away any thoughts of actually acting upon that idea. There were far more valuable things she could do with her time. Unfortunately most of them were things she couldn't do at the moment. It wasn't really easy to make something when on a boat. Huffing slightly she rummaged around in the pockets of the thick jacket she wore, which she had pulled on in preparation for the cold weather. She was quite thankful to find both a pen and mostly blank sheet of paper in the second pocket she tried. Smoothing it out in front of her she began to sketch out an idea that formed in her head, a vague planning framework for the next thing that she would program. It was the best thing she could do to pass the time after all.
