To further map out the situation, with the aid of the Justice League Dark's Swamp Thing, the Science Police, and what's left of Metropolis PD, and some Army Reserves are all working to keep a line between the growing city of machines and the rest of the world. With the JL Dark in the fold you could have a more mystical  character associated with them like Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, etc. A few loner heroes or villains would be fine additions to the cast as well but they'd be more or less wildcards. Any drop-outs would likely become enslaved, and if everyone likes the setting we can actually have the enemy gain ground rather than lose the first few battles. What if Brainiac's nanobots and forces took over 90% of major cities in North America and began forming a Grey Continent? How much longer could the world survive? What of those trapped in the machine cities?

And if Brainiac's influence does manage to push those borders, does that mean he's got more than just a Green Lantern and electric villain's powers jacking his stats? What could POSSIBLY make a Superman/Brainiac merger more deadly? I'd post my CS but it's a longer one for me and there's a lot of details. Make no mistake this is going to be Advanced. I may go ahead and post it though, it's like a mix of Beast boy and Ben10...
