Jesse Martinez

The Hispanic young man had been sitting in his luxury cabin for the majority of the trip, isolating himself from everyone else. He had never talked to or even been around people like himself and socializing with them made him a bit anxious. Ironically, he used to be a part of a crew of street thugs that 'feared nothing' but all that went out of the window knowing there are people like himself or people who can set things on fire with just a stare. He sat on in a chair with his knees up to his chin, shaking his foot in anxiety as he heard other students from outside of the cabin. He had to accept the facts. It was either this school or maximum security prison with no powers. That's the part that scared him. He was so accustomed with these freakish powers that he couldn't imagine a life without them. Oh well. Anything was better than being at home with people who judged you for things you couldn't control. Robbing a bank and being a hoodlum, he understood however. Jesse thought he could cope with being on this luxury cruise ship for as long as possible. This was something he never thought he would see in his lifetime. However just the thought of being in the middle of the ocean made him feel like he was suffocating. His claustrophobia began to kick off in full force. After shaking his leg nervously, he stood up from the chair in his casual clothing with just a beanie and a grey jacket to keep him warm. He took a slight breath and proceeded to phase through the door of his cabin and walk outside to the front of the boat to get some fresh air. Once he was outside, he walked over to the railing and started to breath in and out, the arctic cold causing him to see his breath as he exhaled. How come no one told him he was going to be sharing a school with Santa and his elves? He was from the south so this type of weather was not for him. Just as he thought he was getting a bit better, his stomach began to churn. Before this he had never been on a boat so he had no idea what seasickness was. Until now. The color from his face began to disappear until he was ghostly white. Sweat began to drip down his face as the dizziness began to set in and his balance began to dwindle. He even went as far as bumping into a few of the students who were talking nearby. "Hey dude watch where you're g-" "Fuck off," Jesse said to one of the boys he collided into. He caught a hold of the rail and looked for something to release his bowels in. He could feel his vomit began to creep up his throat as he ran straight for a nearby trashcan. Upon sticking his head inside, he began to throw up into the trashcan without hesitation as a few people stopped by to check on him. "Are you alright? I can go find a nurse or something," an African American girl said to him as she peeked over from behind. "I'm fine. Just leave me al-BLEGHHHH," he couldn't even finish his sentence as his bowels escaped his system like geyser of green liquid. He squeezed the sides of the trashcan with his fingers so hard they turned blue. Some others had walked by and laughed at the sick boy as he was puking his guts away. After finishing he wiped his mouth and leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, hoping the floor beneath him would open and swallow him whole. This was already a bad start to a potentially worse experience.
