Basic Information
Name:
Daniel Mores, but he asks people to call him Tempest cause he thinks it sounds cool. He's also been called 'The Red Storm, due to the coloration of his sand . . . and how he sometimes gets blood in it when he uses his more . . .damaging moves.
Age:
19
Gender:
Male
Appearance & Attire:

Tempest is quite the intimidating figure when you look at him, standing at a towering("read as annoying") 6'4 and 179lbs, he easily dwarfs most people. He's full-blooded American Caucasian from the Pacific shores of California, and his skin is that rough tanned color one gets when they've been out in the sun as much as they possibly can. He has short, curly blonde hair, the tips of which are dyed a dark crimson red("using the blood of my enemies! . . . okay, not really, that'd be gross"), which is his favorite color. Well, that and pink, Moving on, we come to his face, which could've been handsome at one point, and still has a certain charm to it, but you an tell that Tempest has been in quite a few scuffles in his day. His lips are rough with scars, his nose looks like it's been broken quite a few times, and he's got a not quite ld stitch scar that runs down the side of his face("That was a fun day, though I wish she had told me her Dad was a meta before inviting me to her room in the middle of the night . . . eh, probably still would've done it"). His eyes are normally an intense Forest green, with specks of golden hazel blazing like dying embers, but when he really gets going, they slowly transition into a menacing blood red, the iris growing big enough to cover most of his eye and his pupils shrinking down to give him a more bestial appearance. HIs canines are permanently sharpened like fangs, though he's missing one of his top ones, as it got knocked out in a fight. Kind takes the intimidation factor out of it, but Tempest doesn't mind that much. He's got a lean build with a fair amount of muscle and tone, with a six-pack, biceps, etc, as well as his fair share of scars and stories to tell about them(which may or may not be true), though none of them are of any particular note. He also has a tribal tattoo over his chest of a wolf howling at a full moon. As far as his attire, it's usually thrown together at the last minute of a jacket, followed by a tank-top, some ripped up jeans, and combat boots. He has no warm winter clothes because he's never had to really worry about the cold before.
Skills/Talents:
He's good with knives, an instinctually savage street-fighter with an 'anything goes' fighting style that will use every trick in the book to tae down an opponent. He's also good at taking a hits, actually enjoying the pain a little at first, where the adrenaline and excitement of the moment turn pain into pleasure and pleasure into ecstacy. He's also a skilled driver, though most people who are in the passenger seat swear they saw their life flash before their eyes fifteen times once thy shakily exit the vehicle. He's also damn good at sleight of hand, street magic, and pick-pocketing.
Brief Backstory:
"I came! I saw! And I fucked. Shit. UP!" Tempest's life, growing up in the Meta-capital of Cali that is Verthaven, was pretty much what you'd expect from meeting him. He never fit in with most people at school, argued and fought with his teachers, got into a lot of fights at school, and so on and so forth. He also had the younger sister who was the good child that everyone loved and always compared him to, who got good grades, didn't start trouble, and didn't have a ridiculously high medical bill. His parents were rather well off, and had given there son everything and more, and had stripped him of almost everything once he started hanging out with the wrong crowd. All this kind off stuff should've made him a bitter, spiteful piece of work who hated and lashed out at the world for not understanding him. But in truth, Tempest couldn't be paid to give a flying fuck about what the world thought about him, or most people for that matter. His brain was just different in a way few could hope to understand. It was when he entered the middle school when he first discovered his powers, having locked himself in the Janitors closet and, in his desperate to get out, turned the door into a pile of sand. Now, while most would've kept such a secret under wraps, not wanting to draw undue attention, Tempest was using it everyday he could, whenever he could, practicing it where ever he went in order to get better and stronger. It wasn't long after that when other powers began to emerge, most of which were connected to his first power, though one or two were something complete different. With these powers in hand, he quickly started to gain some recognition among the streets of Verthaven, woking at times as an errand boy for the fiends, other times just kicking the crap out of people in bar fights, gang wars, and all other kinds of carnage and mayhem. One day, however, he went a little bit too far and was a little bit too cocky, which ended up with him being caught and given a choice: Go to prison for a long time or go to Academy 218. A school in alaska that was basically like the Meta-equivalent of Juvie? Tempest almost asked them what kind of punishment was that, but he kept his mouth shut, did whatever was needed to get the paperwork finalized, said later to his family, and headed off to a new adventure, ready to bust some caps, crack some skulls, and take names.

Power Information
Power Class:
Super-System (Bestial, Elemental
Power:
Desert Manipulation: "Where ever I go, the desert shall follow me, for I am it's incarnation . . . of complete badassery!" The first phase of this ability is manipulation, generation, and storage of sand. Whenever sand comes under his power, it always takes on a deep red color, the reason is unknown but the cool factor is undeniable. He's been using it for years, and has grown quite adept in using it, both in and out of combat. Combat-wise, he can do the obvious thing of manipulating a big hunk of sand and smacking it into another person, but he's also able to make constructs out of the substance as well, of varying density. At it's densest, Tempest could easily block a hit from a Super-strength meta, and break bones with a single solid smack, but he rarely does that for reasons to be explained later. He can also pierce through people easily, but most frequent use of this sand is to increase his physical ability by forming a durable outer coating that has wonderful shock absorption capabilities, as well as giving him the ability to get in close with stronger Meta and hit with a large sand fist right in there face. You see, along with making constructs of varying sizes, he can also form mini-sandstorms around his select body parts, a swirling mass of blazing hot winds and rapidly spinning sand particles that make for quite the painful experience when they make contact with the skin. Out of combat,He can also make floating platforms of sand anywhere within 5 meters of himself, strong and large enough for him and one other normal sized person to stand comfortably when needed. If it's just him, he can even fly around on them a little bit, though they aren't that fast. He can also store about 1 ton of sand in his body at any given time, and while this isn't fully translated into his actually weight, it doesw make him quite a bit denser and a lot heavier. This gives him the bonus of being tougher to put down, as a denser body means that he's more durable as well. But how does one get that much sad anyway, if they aren't frolicking through the Crystal Shores. Well he just needs to find something nobody gives a shit about and turn it into sand, of course. As long as he isn't at max capacity, he can turn any non-living material material into sand, given he has enough time, focus, and energy. His min use for this ability is good Ol' B&E, though if he ever shaped up to societies standards he'd probably make a damn good demolitions expert. The time and energy required to change something to sand usualy goes from 15 secs at the easiest up to 2 mins for the most difficult, which are usually metals.
Limits:
What are the restrictions to your character's power?
