Two red marks tends to not be a good thing. I think you're taking the "fetish" thing too seriously. From my understanding, people are just joking. Of course all of the characters are going to react appropriately to the horrific situation they find themselves in (they have so far in the IC). However, just because the characters are in a death world doesn't mean they can't have relationships with one another.

And if some budding romance arises from it, then so be it. If it's not your thing, then leave it alone and others will respectfully not include you in it. As KoL said, you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. As for nothing bad happening to player characters, that's subjective. Obviously if your character is going to do something stupid like provoke a Lovecraftian monster, they're going to lose a few limbs and some pieces of their mind in the IC.
