You do have a point. Why he is like will be revealed in time. His character will slowly develop as that is how most of the ice cold characters work.

Well, Shinrei will not like Andre to be around his sister. He would find him more of a hindrance and a bad influence. Especially the fact he lets mule's bray and fool's talk bother him to the point of growing a grudge against someone. That's very unfitting of a strategist though I doubt he would find him one.
