Sue The reason Sue entered the cafeteria later than the rest was because the group of men in black had a course of diversion so as to bide time. It was intended for her to come in at the latest possible moment so it wouldn’t be as noisy. People were less noisy when eating than when they were hungry and lining up. She walked along the middle of the aisle between the rows of tables, though it was more of a run than the saunter she was used to. Her tray of food was ready for her at a table far away. She caught a glimpse of Jack, but she was not allowed to sit next to them. No, Sue had to sit where it was quiet. It’d have been easier for her to eat in a park nearby, but it was far too inefficient, and far too insecure. They had to make do with risking a possibility of a concussive blast that would blow up the whole Academy for her to eat. She sat on the table next to another table, with a girl who was reading a book. Her tray was plentiful and varied for healthy proportions and flavor. It was plenty more than what the others had, but she didn’t really eat a lot. The men dispersed and allowed space for her to eat. She’d really hope for a day without them but that seemed unlikely. Between each spoonful, she would look around, hoping to catch the eye of Jack further down, or the girl to the right. Heck, the silent girl had more luck in attracting people to her table. Unsuccessful, her tray was unexpectedly brought up, and she was forced up to the exit of the cafeteria. The noise was steady-high, and things were rattling and moving around. It was getting obvious and she had to be moved away. She was moved to an empty classroom, which turned out to be Room 302. She was already in class, ready for class, eating her lunch. Special girl.
