Hmmm... This is harder than I thought. Everyone who wants to show off how much bows rock fires their bow against a crappy flat non-composite shield. Everyone who wants to show off how much shields rocks fires a crappy 30-40 lb draw bow.
Haha alright, well extrapolating from Wikipedia (English Longbow), I think it's safe to assume that Gunnaya's arrows would go clean through Jack-of-Plate (Scale) armour, and mail armour, but would only dent plate armour. How far does the 40 lb bow penetrate into the shields? What's the range? If they stay stuck in with any amount of dempth, at 30-40 lbs, from more than 10 yards, I think it's safe to assume a 120 lb bow would go pretty deep, if not clean through, from a comparable distance. Again according to Wikipedia, 75 lbs at 10 yards (30 feet) is roughly equal to 110 lbs at 250 yards (750 feet). I'm using a 120 lb bow, at around 10 (or less) yards of distance. Edit: Of course, if the shield took the arrow (not bodkin by the way) from an angle, it might get stuck in, but you'd be fine.
