Katalina groaned as the alarm went off and she rolled over and then promptly out of bed and onto the floor. [color=00b3b3]"Oooowwwww..."[/color] She rolled over and pushed herself off the floor and rubbed her elbow. [color=00b3b3]"What a great way to start off the memorial day..."[/color] She headed out of her room and to the bathroom. Twenty minutes later, she was getting dressed in a simple black button up shirt, black skirt, tights and black shoes. She pulled her hair up into a ponytail and pinned a fake black rose into it. She looked herself over in the mirror and sighed. 

She went down the stairs and was greeted by her mother, who pulled Kata into a hug. "So, we already hung up the sign at the store informing everyone that we will be attending the memorial with you. I'm guessing you'd like a ride to school?" 

[color=00b3b3]"I'd appreciate it mom."[/color] Kata let go of her mother and sat down at the table and shoved a piece of toast in her mouth before working on the eggs her mother had made her. After she finished eating, she grabbed her coat and backpack and followed her parents to the car. The ride over to the school was mostly silent, and once there, her parents looked at her.

"We know you'd rather be with your friends right now, so we'll see you later. Say hi to your friends for us!" Kata's mother, Molly, said as Kata's parents went to park the car. Kata kept her backpack over her shoulder as she went to go find some of her friends. She noticed Jay (rather hard not to given his pink hair,) and spotted Alicia and Austin next to him. She walked over and offered them all a small smile.

[color=00b3b3]"Hey everyone, how are you all doing?"[/color] She casually draped her arm over Alicia in a half-hug. She then looked at Jay and gasped. [color=00b3b3]"Oh my gosh Jay! What happened? Are you alright? Who did that to you?"[/color] She got a rather worried look on her face as she looked her friend over, noticing the shiner around his eye.
