[@Sombrero]Tumblr's full of extremist who make any side they're supposedly taking look bad, unfortunately.  Once got a deluge of hatemail and death threats about how homophobic I was for not being a fan of a particular magical girl ship... Despite the fact that I'm bi, my best friend is gay, and oh yeah, I mentioned other lesbian ships I liked in the same post as this supposedly "homophobic" message (which again, basically amounted to "eh, not a huge fan of that particular pairing").

Is it just something about Tumblr that attracts the worst parts of any kind of subculture?  Because that's what it always seems like, and it's really annoying because then you get extremist lunatics using these other extremist lunatics as a way to justify hatred for the saner, more tolerant majority of these subcultures. :\
