Backstory: Seleena Chang was a normal girl born into a poor but normal family and might have gone on to live a very mundane life if not for the interference of evil sorcerery. 
Seleena was taken from her home to serve as a sacrificial vessel meant to contain the essence of an enthralled Elemental Lord but something went wrong when the Blue Devil attacked the ceremony and Seleena's mark was altered in such a way as to bond the Elemental to her control.
