This looks very well-thought out; the premise is hitting chords close to the curiously unknown for me (as I have little experience with this genre type). If you are still searching for more players, I would love to join this. I do have a few questions, if you don't mind my asking. A. What sort of transportation is there? Public, Private, None. 1. Is Teleportation a means? Whether fixed location (think perma-Portals), Blink, or Conjured. 2. Aside from the use of these War Mechs, are air ships still viable for cargo, transportation, etc.? B. My friend and I (ViridianHue) would like to collaborate within this RP. Considering the nature of the posts, would it be possible for us to work like this together or should we be completely separate entities (E.g. I want to be a Knight, and she can co-pilot a type of 'Dual Mech')? Looks like this is a large-scale/influence RP, so I'd just like your take on the idea. C. Are War Mechs basically Exo-Suits or larger than? The previous question will be null (because two pilots what) if it's basically just an Exo Suit.
Thanks for taking an interest Dub, but I would reconsider the type of RP your joining-it's not a 'mech' RP. That's just setting flavor. This is more of a darkly backlit political/diabolical RP based on the TURN structure I used in Our Dark Star. Because we use stats and it's more of a "You tell me what you want to do-I tell you the outcome" traditional sort of Roleplay I'm going to say no to your collaboration idea. You can both play and collaborate within the RP sure-you just have to have separate characters and turn orders. If your not sure what I'm talking about go read the Playing the Game section under the Game Information header. To answer your first questions: (the type that I like!) A. Public and Private transport is available. The most widely used is the TRAM system funded by the city (you'll see it on the map when I'm done with it). There are canals in the city with boats. Gyrocopters. Shuttles. etc. 1. A sorcerer could teleport with a little effort. The only permanent 'portal' is located in LANDFALL, built centuries ago to transport cargo to the city. But who's to say there aren't other portals waiting to be reactivated? 2. Air ships in the Final Fantasy sense with big whirring propellers don't really fit the setting. Power sources are more mysterious and ambiguous. There are craft capable of flight though. You could always spend Assets to develop something though... C. Mechs range from Exo-suits to AT-AT style battle-mechs. That being said, I would love to have you/your friend join. I can promise you the following: 1. An active, dedicated GM that will generate original content regularly. 2. An immersive world that your character can GREATLY affect. 3. Hopefully some fun!
