hmm its funny though how if you really think about it... the two characters we have both seem similar to each other for example rather than being the son of a pro-duelist Shinrei IS the pro-duelist Both brothers care deeply about their sister Both brothers have a history with their father (though Hayato's was more neutral) Both brothers are protective of their sisters. both sisters were cut-off of being able to make friends (well Hayate did sneak out sometimes to buy cards but really she had no time to talk to people when she did) Both sisters have some sort of personal defense though Hayate's Toy Hammer is probably a bit more painfull than a paper fan, and both of them is either good at fighting or is really fast at running though Hayate is more of a runner than anything else but as evidenced by Vincent she can pick people up without even noticing it Both sisters would prefer if their brothers acted more like their old selves Both the brothers and sisters could pass for each if they colored their hair though since i dont have a picture of the 2 of my characters nor could i find one that could pass for the 2 of them, you have to assume that Hayato is a cool looking character rather than handsome, and Hayate is more cute than anything else forgot the mention oops (also there should be a few others that i cant come up with)
You forgot to mention that they both wear emotional masks to cover up their emotional scars. But coincidentally pretty much every point you made has truth to it. Shinrei would deny it since he again is an isolationist. It is hard to deal with an isolationist since one they are not particularly nasty, but they also do not really care about others around them. Three they have someone or something that isolates them from everyone else. Shinrei's case it's his own sister. Some do make for the best villains and that isn't a path I have shied from, but it is not one I have chosen for either. I still might have him fall into the darkness and have his despair overwhelm him then have him slowly lift himself out of it. Other characters can help him if they want. Also if Ammokkx later wants to use Shinrei's father for plot related reasons that option is always open. The way I developed Shinrei's character really gives Ammokkx a lot of options to choose from hence why I did it that way and also why I am a GM myself. Up to him if he wants to use it and I will just work from Point A right now to get to Point B which could have a new set of rails depending on how the story unfolds. Shinrei's father told him that he could never accomplish anything unless he sacrificed something. He also pushed Shinrei to be his very best and wasn't satisfied until he was at the top. His father changed over time and that lead toward Shinrei changing. Not going to say much more about that right now. Edit: Hayato is not an isolationist, is he?
