Cassandra

"Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing"
"I think it means how one normally acts. and if they aren't acting how you expect them to, then something might be wrong" Cassandra replied, not really knowing how to explain it, but to her, that seemed right. And Eris seemed to be acting quite normally for herself. She blinked. Only focus of her attention? What did that mean? "I never said I was a lady" Cassandra said without thinking, "I didn't go out, I didn't do anything but study and play Deep ground. So, no social life" She said, as if she had to explain herself. Cassandra watched Eris. The normally...glamorous and regal girl seemed to be restless, which didn't' seem like her at all. As she looked into Cassandra's, Cassandra had the queerest feeling that she was trying to put her ill at ease. Instead, Cassandra merely looked back into Eris's eyes. At her questions, Cassandra did glance away. It was almost like she was asking who Cassandra was. And Cassandra wasn't too sure if she had an answer for that. It seemed that Cassandra wasn't about to answer, as she tried to think of what to say. A few more seconds seemed to pass, and then Cassandra looked back to Eris. "My interests? I can't really say I have many. I enjoy being able to help people. I enjoy animals. I find reading pleasant. I want to be able to help the world. My passions? Again, I'm not entirely sure I have any. Do I feel strongly about something to have a passion for it? Perhaps. But that's something I haven't yet thought on. I know you have a distaste for anyone who is apart of the system, but I want to be a doctor. I want to be able to help people. I don't want to be someone that is corrupted by power, and money. I want to help those who can't afford, or can't easily access healthcare. I want to change how people see it. I want to find something that can...well, make the world go wow. I'll struggle, I'll go hungry, I'll live like crap to make it happen. And make it happen, I will. Because I won't accept anything less" If Cassandra had taken any time to think on that, to study the words, she might see that wanting to make an impression on the world was brought on by her need to be seen, to not simply be looked over. Something she hadn't really felt since meeting Eris. The next question shocked her so much that she simply answered without any thought, "You". As the word left her lips, Cassandra's eyes widened, and she swallowed around a suddenly dry mouth. She couldn't take it back, of course. And she didn't want to. So she simply just sat there, silent, waiting for a reaction from Eris. And she cast a prayer to whatever being was out there, real or imaginary, that she hadn't just ruined a good thing. [@KoL]
