CDC raises threat level: Hospitals and Labs begin working on developing treatments; discovery that the virus is related to a strain of Ebola is made. Soon after, professors discover that the virus is mostly synthetic in origin, and is a combination of many different viral outbreaks, mainly routed however from Ebola and Bubonic Plague. FBI begins searching for possible creator, CDC remains adamant that public is safe. April 16th - 2016 » First casualties of virus, officially titled Ebersinia Pestisa, or EBP, are recorded. Media begins to cover. CDC releases "Keep It Clean" campaign in attempt to control the virus spread. Cure research is at a halt, as virus has ability to re-write itself, evading all attempts at treatment. FBI discovers possible creator of virus, Iraqi extremist Salam Hakim. CIA is brought in, commences hunt for Salam. September 11th - 2016 » Death toll hits 270 within five months. CDC raises threat level, and begins to establish orderly quarantine zones. Military becomes involved; Government pressures for treatment, but researchers remain dumbfounded by Ebersinia's abilities. Salam Hakim is found burning all remaining research from his creation of Ebersinia, CIA agents are too late, research is lost. Salam Hakim commits suicide via cyanide capsule en-route to CIA safe-house for interrogation. October 1st - 2016 » 335 deaths recorded. More quarantine zones established. Public begins to become panicked. CDC remains stern that a cure will be found. Hospitals and Labs remain at a stand still, making no further progress. New Year's Eve - 2017 » Death toll strikes 1200. Small revolts begin to pop up across the country. Government and military establish forces to contain them. CDC has established regular quarantine zones in all states. May 22nd - 2017 » Death toll increases to 3000, and revolts become bigger and more destructive. Government declares Marshall law. CDC is pressured for cure, but all tests are inconclusive. Death toll continuously rises. May 25th - 2017 » 3200 deaths recorded. Texas secedes from United states, government and CDC withdraw. Texas establishes independent programs to stop virus. May 25th > November 4th - 2017 » Death toll increases to 5700. Rebellion is established against American government. First reports of global pandemic are finally produced. Complete death toll across the world: 700,000. New Year's Eve - 2018 » Death toll steadily increases, no signs of cure. Civil War cripples America and other countries. Revolt is impossible to stop. American government retreats to safe zones. Texas has extended its wall around itself. Protects itself valiantly. World plunges into chaos. New Year's Eve - 2018 > January 2nd - 2023 » In the next two and a half years, three quarters of Earth's population is wiped out. Ebersinia's ability to re-write it's own genetic structure becomes it's demise, as it re-writes itself and becomes it's own cure, eating away at the original viral cells. Virus dies down, and infections halt afterwards. Remaining population resurfaces, and begins to rebuild. Two and Half more years pass before the population has grown incredibly. New governments are established, and an end to the Pandemic is officially realized. What's left of the U.N re-establishes itself to attempt to keep peace among them. December 9th - 2023 » Tensions raise as the "New China", a conglomeration of several united Chinese rebellion groups, continue to build their nuclear power. The re-built UN pressures for New China to halt their weapons programs. Demands are sent from Russia, but the U.N manages to calm them. Tension between both communist countries steadily rise. China continues its growth. December 9th - 2023 > January 8th 2025 » After two years of attempting to keep peace, New China surprises the world, launching several nuclear warheads targeted at different countries, under the guise of "Cleansing the world of all impurity." Several countries, including what's left of the united states, launch their own warheads in retaliation. The Middle East is completely leveled, killing thousands, and leaving a line of destruction across the map; comes to be known as "Hell's Gateway". More warheads are launched across the world, leaving very little of the earths surface untouched. Nuclear Armageddon is realized.
