I'll start the ball rolling.

[indent]I joined a game a year and a half ago (ish) and then it died, and then I later restarted it with pretty much the same cast and then I can't really keep up with the GMing right now but I get to drop by from time to time and everybody's still there and wishes me nothing but the best.

It reminds me that, behind the character sheets and the posting and stuff, I've spent a huge amount of time working on something that's largely unimportant with people I don't know for no reason other than because I'm involved in a hobby I like with people whose company I enjoy. In that time I got to know people and their foibles and they lived my best and worst days with me too.

I've tried to explain to Jig's Still-Excellent Partner what RPing is once or twice, but won't let them read the stuff I do here, because, unless they're prepared to trawl through every single OoC post, they're not getting the context that makes it what it is.[/indent]
