As to her reason for joining the Society, I'll withhold judgement until Astarael has her say :) That's the Game Master, btw :D 

Also, by definition, the abilities our characters possess are overpowered. Lucie can gain any piece of information about anything if she touches it, and no one can stop her. For example, she could get the [i]exact[/i] number of times you have opened a door throughout your entire life if she so desired :P All it requires is that there's physical contact between you and her ^^ 

So yeah, I don't think the vulnerability is necessary.
