Well, that would work only if the shrapnel is made from the alloy. But Knight of Doom and I would strongly advise against doing that. Maybe consider doing something similar to a smoke bomb with Auren in a gaseous form, which would need to be heated up in order to be gaseous. The only requirement is that the weapon uses Auren.
