Hi there fellow Roleplayers, To start of the new year I am thinking of runnning a play-by-post Fantasy Flight Star Wars game. In the wake of the new Star Wars movie ‘The Force Awakens’ I want to set up a roleplay in between episodes VI and VII. The roleplay will contain info about the ‘structure of the galaxy’ acquired from episode VII so it will have spoilers for those that haven’t seen it yet. Since I can imagine that some free form roleplayers haven’t invested in the system I want to set up a narrative game that uses the system in the background. This means that in essence you will only create a character using the FFG rules while all the rolls happen behind the screens (I’ll use the OOC thread to display the rolls if you guys want). To keep it beginner friendly even further I intend to start in a prison cell of either the First Order, the Resistance, the Republic or the Black Suns. A gearless start will give you more XP to spend for skills and stats and gives me the option to guide newer players into the gear-system. For the game I intend not to have Jedi PC’s, though you could be force sensitive and develop into one over the course of the game. For those that know the system, that means I will be using classes from the Edge of the Empire and Age of Rebellion books and sourcebooks. With that I’d like to ask you if you have any preferences or tips if we should run such a campaign, and most importantly: ARE YOU IN?
