Illiendi, while noticing the discomfort of his lord does nothing to reassure him, the young man would have to learn to trust his own instincts, his own decisions and move with them accordingly. Illiendi did not think this was a poor decision but it was something the demon had never truly considered. When Amano warned him to gauge the mother's mood and leave if it seems it's desired he nods lightly and purrs a gentle affirmative to his master. Inside the room it all gets tensely emotional, which would have been wonderful if this was not a woman's sadness, the most fickle and undesirable of emotions in the demons opinion. He almost leaves on precedent but the woman pins him with those begging eyes of hers, he wasn't sure what she wanted but he stayed regardless. When she addresses him like a fierce dog protective over her pup he smiled faintly, taking a knee with a low bow, "My dearest Lady, I will sooner die than allow harm befall your son. You have my word and my honour he will return to you." In one manner or another, he thought to himself, raising again and remaining silent as they reminisced over old memories both pleasant and painful, the boys first 'prank' on their brother caught his attention and his imagination. He'd wait until they were in private to ask his master's permission...although, he wouldn't detail the plan. There were more tears and more memories but finally the woman seemed to calm down and appreciated the gift her son had chosen and was able to catch the look in her eyes and respond with a small, faint nod to show his understanding. He waited for Amano to be done with his further memories before opening the door for his master and seeing him out. The door closed behind them he watched his master react, a slightly confused expression that was wiped away by the time the attention was back on him. "I do believe it did." He responded to the question asked, following behind Amano on the way back to his room. "I am sure she will love the second you give her just as much." Opening the door to the youngest sons room, he let his master step inside and followed shutting the door gently behind him. He rolled out the maps on the large table, pinning each corner with a weighted item and taking up a charcoal stick. He circled the port they would be leaving from and crossed the port/area they'd be docking at when they reached their destination. Then he waited for Amano to join him. "The route we will be taking is seldom travelled by those considered 'sane', the first week out will be simple enough." He dotted a lien from the circle almost horizontally, "Our biggest danger here will be whales, sharks and scurvy." he uttered, then he took the dotted line up and around in an arc over what looked like rocks. "Here is the first challenge, the singing sirens, they aren't the fantastical or horrific creatures of tale but somewhere in between. The Captain would be best to be below deck as we pass them, so he may find a little sleeping agent in his tea before hand. You will be affected by them but I will keep you from straying too far. It'll take us a day and night to pass them." He paused as he drew a dotted line up to where a picture of whirlpool was indicated, "Two days after this we will come to this spot. This is the jaws of a giant beast, no one can pin when it will rise or how the pools are created but many ships have been scrapped on the jagged teeth of it. I am sure we will encounter it somewhere around this area." He carefully sketched a rough trapezoid around the whirlpool. Then he drew a dotted line from the top of the shape, seemingly going quite an indirect route and yet the one that makes the most sense. There was a patch of barren sea but he circled it regardless, "Here we are likely to encounter pirates and a ghost ship if the night favours us, it'll take us two days to pass through the territory of the forgotten and the dead, I do not doubt we will meet one or the other." He carried on his dashes to the next point where a serpent had been drawn, "It's name is Gilgamas, you could say he's a distant relative of mine, a leviathan cursed to earth and to forget his heritage. he likes tipping over and breaking ships, he will be the hardest to traverse for he and I are supposedly evenly matched. However, I do not doubt we can steal one of his scales or teeth. I think two days will be ample to do this in." Another dashed line bought them to another set of rocks. "Here rather than danger is great beauty, the ruins of an ancient forgotten city. The rocks hide much of it from view and are impossible to sail through, so they say, however a garden blooms in the old ruins and it is said to this day there is treasure left behind by the fleeing natives." He drew another dashed line that skirted closer to the land and circled a piece of land and their route. "You will see the black castle of old from the ship, when the wind blows you can still hear the screams of the people inside, by this point you will also likely start seeing the dragons, the red spires, the blood hued sun. You'll see the crag's and the yawning mouth of the Vulcanus volcano cluster. We'll travel close to the coast at this time, the blask ash beaches like nothing you've seen, dotted with rubble of battles older than your species." He then drew the dotted line to meet the x. "On this journey up the coast we are likely to find ourselves attacked by the beast which guards, it is like an octopus only much larger, much uglier and much angrier, I think your kind call it the kraken. It's den is in a cave long this coast, where it fiercely hordes the treasures it has stolen and gained and a single pearl, the size of your fist the colour of the night itself. It's suppose to rewarded it's owner with future sight, allowing them to see what dangers lurk in the night that follows." At this point he drew a straight line across the sand to where the land would have begun if the map continued. "We will disembark here and cross the sands quickly and carefully, for in the black ash lurk the sand vipers, deadly poisonous and virtually unseen until they move to strike. after that we will be off any map the sea chart completely. Is there more you want to know my lord?"
