I mean, once every 3 days would really be a minimum but I think you'd fall behind even at that speed. That said it will change for every arc we do. If you're in a 5 man team, 3 days would be minimum, in a 2 man team, once every 2 days might even be too slow. I can't really say for sure.

Not really. We're gonna include some background, sure, but if we do we'll make sure to explain in detail. Besides that the story is entirely new so you'll be able to hook into the story regardless, even if you don't understand who every character is.
