Well, children tend to not forget the bad stuff. No one does. And one thing to never do is make them forgive. That'll make them much more angrier. Don't think you're a bad parent. Because to be honest, no parent is truly good. The only way for them to be truly good is to not make any mistakes whatsoever. And that is impossible. My point is...you may have a chance. A chance to fix your problems. But do not not consider that your problems can't be fixed. Unfortunately....that is a possibility.

Thanks.. I refused to fight back, I wouldn't lay a single hand on him, even it my life was on the line. I owe it to him to try to fix what I've done, and fighting back would've only made it worse.
