Miles smirked at the response of Kiley's stomach and the words that followed. To be honest the only thing either one of them ate was a few snowballs and a coke courtesy of Erika. That was like several good hours ago. They all were most likely starving. He let out a sigh and kept a mental note to stop at the closest corner store. Hopefully one right next to a gun store. Sure enough as drove along he could see the glowing neon sign of a 7 eleven. They often have hot and ready food or cold food. Either way none of them were in any position to complain. They had to be fast though. There was no telling how far those Xenos had spread and how far back they were from their current location. He pulled the humvee into the parking lot of the 7 eleven. Making sure to be as close to the entrance as possible. The sound of the tires screeching to a halt could be heard. He then turned around and spoke. 

        "Alright, nows the time to get something to eat or use the restroom. Be quick and on the look out. There is no telling where those fuckers are hiding." He said. He then opened his door and headed for the glass double doors of the convenient store. He pushed the door open and walked right in. He looked about the store and saw it was decently stocked with edible delights. With a Xeno infestation I suppose a lot of stores within the infested area wont have gotten a chance to be looted. He was soon joined by Erika, Jin, and Hotaru. He looked to each one of them and shrugged his shoulders. "Grab all that you can peeps. At least enough of it that will last us for a good while." He said. He then grabbed a small basket at the door and began to grab a few items. Mostly the sandwiches and cold foods from one of the small opened coolers. He didn't care what type they where, he just grabbed them. 

        Jin walked right up to the counter his eyes on the cigarettes. A smirk grew on his face as he thought about grabbing a few packs. He then shook his head and moved away from the counter. He decided today was better then any day to quit that habit. He saw a few cases of water and figured they would be much better then what he was thinking on. He grabbed two of them and headed out to the jeep. He placed the bottles within the back of the vehicle and then came back to grab more. He continued this process until he filled most of the space in the back with them. Once that was done he decided to take a look in the back room. This was New York after all and there could easily be a shotgun in the back. A lot of shop owners carried them within the store due to robberies and the such. He however did not find any shotguns. What he did find though was a good sized lead pipe. After much consideration he just tossed it back on the ground. He was a little disappointed but he just shrugged it off. 

            Hotaru grabbed basket and the isles she began to scope out were the candy isles. She knew that she should be taking real food not junk but she couldn't help it. She was still only a kid after all. She stuffed as much as she could into the basket before going to the jeep and placing it within to come back for more. At this rate she figured they would have a could amount of food to live off of for awhile anyways. It was just the five of them. She did keep a look out though for any movement while she did this. It seemed when they least expected it that was when the Xenos showed up. Those things took her father away and Elyana from them. She did not know Elyana very well and did not get enough time to call her a close friend, but she was still a member of the group. It almost made her wonder how many of them would be claimed by the enemy. As she thought this she began walk a bit slower. Her mind full of thought. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder... she looked to it and saw some kind of tattoo poking out from the sleeves of a suit jacket and looked up. She saw Jin starring down at her. 

         "Don't dwell on any of it,... remember what your parents taught you. Mine surely taught me that such thoughts will destroy us. I am not saying forget about those that you had lost, but do not start thinking of the outcome of this bloody fight. That is the path that leads you to no hope. Just be happy that you are alive and those around you are also alive. Death comes to us all eventually, and the fallen would not want you to falter because of them." He said. The words were comforting to hear and she nodded. Jin smiled and gave a good squeeze of his hand before looking around the store. Those words were not just for her ,but for himself as well. He had no clue as to where his father was or how he was doing or any of his brothers. He knew that they were either dead or hiding some where. Either way he had no time to worry about them. If destiny shall allow it they will meet again in this life, if not the next life. Jin decided to keep a lone watch outside as the others took to the store. Erika was looting the cooler for the soda and other drinks. For now these people will be his family.
