I'm pretty sure that there has been talk about having an image uploading service within the guild eventually. One topic that springs to mind was talk about incorporating a theme section into the forum so that RPs could have custom banners, [url=http://i.imgur.com/iFv0qKs.png]like so[/url].

The Avatars used to be an outer site service until an update about 6-8 months ago.
