[@OneStoryToMany] Imperator Gaius is just an NPC, the Imperial commander based at Campus Magnus, who I decided to interact with for story's sakes. My opening post is just setting the scene for Gripus to embark upon his heroic quest to quell evils and what not.

Gripus (my actual character) himself is retired from the Imperial Magi, and will be comparatively open minded with those he encounters.
