For Red Sage characters: you're free to do as you please within the attack, such as killing innocent civilians (you've not been ordered to do so, but you've not been ordered to [i]not[/i] do it.. so..), fighting Confederation Shinobi, following Seijo, or a combination of all of those three. If you want to challenge another player right away, feel free to do so I guess.

For Hamajo Confederation characters: you're free to do as you please within the attack, such as protecting innocent civilians (guess you've been ordered to do that, :lol) fighting Red Sage rebel scum, going inside to defend the commander, or.. generally whatever you want. Remember - there's a lot of confusion, so just do whatever your character would do!

For undecided characters: screw you. On a serious note, your characters should be present (unless you enjoy making characters and not using them). Just make them do what they'd do in this situation - help civilians, fight Red Sage/Confederation Shinobi, whatever. It's up to you in this case too.
