[b]Job history[/b]: Vanessa started singing when she was 16 years old. It wasn't until she won a local songwriter competition at age 18 did she start taking the notion of a professional singer seriously. Spending several years searching for venues to sing at, she won the lottery at age 22. Releasing a debut album and recording it at a local studio, Vanessa's album climbed the charts until it was top 3. From there, her fan base grew until she started touring across the world. Having signed to a label, Vanessa still records at the local studio that recorded and mastered her debut.
