Otherwise, just get your provisions from a settlement before heading out, like a normal person would. I mean who embarks on a quest with nothing but a half eaten snickers in their backpack? I haven't put a distance measurement on the map, because I'm a dodo, but it would probably take around two weeks to walk from Campus Magnus to Dragonblade Tower - if you didn't stop to admire the view, and were on a horse.
