I will provide counter-arguments: you have no reason to believe you generate more than I do. And... *moves my hand through the air and a trail of shadow and light follows it* My light and shadow naturally conglomerate, unless I decide otherwise. The space-traversing properties of my shadow render obstacles like this energy a small concern.
