Porygon-Z paused mid-word as its swirly eyes landed on another man who seemed to be waiting to check in. The Pokemon instantly became calm and clinical as it hovered toward David and conducted the same silent, intensive scan as before. After a while, it nodded and faced David directly. "This check-in is for avatars only," it stated simply, as if it hadn't broken out into joyous song just a couple minutes ago. "Sir, if you are indeed an avatar, please state your representative Pokemon and prove your power by attacking me with a move." David rubbed his head. The showy, flashy entrance really wasn't the kind of thing he had been aiming for. "I'm the avatar of Regirock" David said coldly, throwing a punch into chest of the Porygon-Z. The Pokemon was surprisingly sturdy, not budging an inch. His skin briefly cracked all over his body, the skin becoming like stone. His body usually had the defensive properties of this new coating, but every punch he threw made the layer thicker and thicker - causing his physical attacks to hit harder. After a couple of seconds, the cracks sealed and his skin returned to a smooth brown complexion. "I know that isn't the sort of attack you where hoping for, but it's all your getting from me" he said, his voice jaded. Then it appeared. Big, fearsome, a monster of nightmares. Glowing red eyes, a form made of darkness and shadows. This wasn't just a pokemon. This was an avatar, and a powerful one at that. This display of power was more then he had said previously. The boy who was attacking with incredible slashes of wind or the boy who levitated, even the diamond girl. They had an immaturity to the displays of power, it wasn't disciplined or controlled but they didn't mean to harm anyone. This one was different. He was using his power to intimidate and feel above everyone else around him. "Maybe coming wasn't such a waste of time after all..." he muttered, talking to himself. As the figure stepped out into the courtyard, making a grand entrance Tirtouga caught up with him; unlike the mixed reactions Tirtouga seemed fairly unfazed by the spectacle. If anything, he showed a morbid curiosity for the hybrid. 'I don't care how much you talk about 'disciple' and 'restraint', dude has more style then you ever will' the tortoise japed smugly. David shook his head and gave him a disapproving glance. The tortoise replied with a shocked expression, as if the simple act of glancing had offended him. I bet if we got him to battle, he would be an interesting challenge. Come on, I saw your face light up when you first saw him. You want to have a go at kicking his smug ass back into the inky hole he crawled from, right? That is why we came here, you have that odd sense of justice and preventing the abuse of power right?' "It isn't like that. Battling trainers who don't appreciate their pokemon, protecting the weak. It's different to this. I've never fought one of my own... and I seriously am concerned if I could keep up with a pokemon that has power..." David said, a man of principle and calmness feeling fear. This wasn't right... why was he shaken to his core belief? Ever since the thing showed up, it had felt like he had a heavy weight on his shoulders, and he could feel his darker emotions more. What was this atmosphere he had put in the room... this pressure? Then the idiot bawled into the center of the room. He was young, and was underestimating his opponent, he was going to get hurt because he wanted to look like a hero... It was reckless, it couldn't be helped, he was digging his own grave. 'Stop. This lack of confidence, this self pity. It's pathetic and it's not you. You CAN hold your own against that brute if you needed too. Ignore your nerves.' Just hearing the words snapped him back to reality a little bit. Whatever that man, Germaine had done. It's effect lessened a little. The negative emotions still clung to the back of his mind like shackles, but he could at least ignore them for now. The confrontation seemed to be escalating as Vuduin stood by Germaine. David shook his head, and joined Wells. "He isn't going to be rewording anything. The man you defend is a bully and a pretender. A man of that power shouldn't be flaunting his talents to scare children, it's pathetic and behavior like that is below us; we are representatives of the greatest Pokemon to have walked the face of this planet. He is abusing his gift" He gave a knowing glance to the man by his side, and compressed a grin from taking over his face. He finally had opponents worth fighting. But something still felt wrong about the dark avatar. The pale complexion, white hair - none of that gave it away. It was the way his eyes appeared dead and almost apathetic to the chaos he had caused. How much of him was still human?
