The game's first post will go up tonight. It won't be right into the action. 
The beginning will assume that no-one knows each other, and is arriving aboard ship on a shuttle just ahead of the ship leaving port to embark on its' mission.
Everyone will know they've been assigned to the squadron, and what the name of the ship is, and their C.O. (i.e. Erien) 

You won't have your fighters yet, as they'd obviously be aboard ship; they'd all be new to you as well, as they squadron has just been stood up as a new unit. 

If any of you want to collab with each other to work out that you've met prior to this, or during the trip, you're welcome to do so. 

I'll get the intro post up this evening, GMT - just giving you all an idea of what to expect.
