Well, I was in a situation rather similar to this one just earlier in 2015. There was an RP I joined here just after Guildfall that I [i]immensely[/i] enjoyed. During its tenure, the GM actually left and the participants made it an independent RP with unofficial co-GMs. So, the old co-GMs and I decided to revive it. We [i]took[/i] the original writer's thread and idea (since s/he hadn't been on the Guild in some time) and changed the name a few details but kept the premise mostly the same. We gave credit to the original GM in the thread itself, but otherwise kept the same synopsis. 

I have no problem with there being an Empire still running things. Frankly I think this is one of the best Star Wars RP plot-lines I've seen! :)
