My CS is coming along and should be in before the deadline (I hope!). I have to ask a question first though. I've been reading some other sheets and it seems like a lot of characters are experts in combat, tracking etc. already. So my question is, why are they in Basic Training? Surely if they already know how to fight it is fairly pointless for them to be in Basic? 

I only ask because I'm trying to figure out whether my character is supposed to already be skilled in these areas, or if he's supposed to learn everything during Basic Training.
