Ash grinned at Elizabeth. [color=00aeef]"That was the plan, among my group. After we listen to what the headmistress has to say."[/color]

Ash walked into the gym once again. The groups had gathered more tightly than usual. Everyone was nervous, and Ash completely understood why. 

"Everyone I am sorry to report that for some reason we are unable to leave campus." Ash snorted [i]what an understatement[/i]. "With this new development I understand that you are not going to want to stay in the gym, but I ask that all students do not go wandering off alone. Please stay in groups of at least two. I'd appreciate it if it were more though. This is for you own safety."

"Mind explaining what is going on?" An unidentified person said from the crowd. The headmistress looked a little dismayed, which considering how stone cold her face normally was probably meant she was about to faint. 

"It is a long story I am afraid, but this school is no longer safe, for anyone."

"You've said that." Another unidentified voice said. "Mind elaborating?"

"I cannot explain it very well I am afraid. The easiest way to explain it is," She paused and took a breath, her eyes looking at the students briefly before she spoke again. "The school feeds on your abilities. Normally just the presence of the power is enough to keep the school in check, unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case."

There was a cacophonous reaction. Sure the school wasn't safe, they had all figured that out, but here the headmistress was telling them the school was literally eating them. Ash looked over at Jamie, fear pounding through her. They had to stop this, but how?
