[s]Still a WIP. Should be done by tomorrow.[/s]

IN REAL LIFE
Name: Ryan Haraldsson Age: 27 Gender: Male Appearance:

Lazy, dishevelled, half-arsed. All good ways to describe how Ryan looks on a day to day basis. Most of the time he wears old jeans and faded band shirts, refusing to buy new clothes while his ancient wardrobe still has life in it. His dark blonde hair is greying a little at the edges and stubble flocks his otherwise clear complexion. Background: Teaching was never really Ryan's life ambition. After leaving school with so-so grades and getting an average degree at an average university, his intention was to join the Army and coast away his adult life doing office work somewhere or another. No such luck of course; after failing Selection three times, Ryan finally gave in and began drifting across London, from one dead-end job to another. It was all he could do to stay motivated as the bills racked up and the monotony set in, until a chance encounter with an American girl in a nightclub (and subsequently, her hotel room) convinced him that a better life awaited across the pond, full of cheap beer, good bars and tasty women. With a much-needed boost of enthusiasm, Ryan took courses in a number of subjects, from languages and history to teaching methods; it was that last one that finally landed him a ticket off Old Blighty. At the age of 23, he was employed by a high school in some town he couldn't pronounce, in a state he had never heard of; despite not having a clue what he was doing, Ryan dove right in and after a few months floundering, had a fairly respectable position passing on his not-quite-perfect German. Naturally his British charms gave him a few advantages with the local ladies, but before long the novelty wore off and they started seeing him for the lout that he was. With his favourite pastime giving him the cold shoulder, Ryan started broadening his horizons, finding new ways to waste his life away. Gambling, hunting, he even dabbled in a bit of shooting before deciding it was too much effort. In the end he settled for a bit of classic PC gaming, jumping from FPS to RPG to RTS. All fun enough up to a point, but he never found one that challenged him consistently. MMOs weren't much better, as anyone who's played WoW would know, but there was one that he kept going back to, mainly due to the decent playerbase and regular updates. Elder Tale was an alright sort of game, a bit archetypal at times but nevertheless interesting enough to draw you in. Take that new expansion for example, Novasphere Pioneers; no-one had a clue what a Novasphere was nor how to pioneer it, but it made for an entertaining distraction when he should be marking homework. Personality: Ryan Haraldsson is in essence, a lazy bastard. When all's said and done, most work can wait til tomorrow and you don't get in that much trouble for missing the odd deadline, so why rush? That said, Ryan takes his hobbies very, very seriously and puts far more time and effort into them than he really should. A lot of the time he seems half asleep, chilling out at the side of the group while everyone argues about what bar to go to, but as soon as that first round is ordered, Ryan becomes the life of the party. His repertoire of party tricks include the One-Chug Pint, the Leaning Tower of Bottles and the infamous How to Steal a Bottle of Vodka from Behind the Bar trick. In-game he is much the same, often playing while drunk or halfway there. Ryan will sit to one side of the party, listening with half an ear to the strategies discussed before bombing it into battle with more gusto than anyone else present. While he doesn't often act it, Ryan can be quite a mature person at times and is professionally skilled at looking after younger people. His age and profession make him quite emotionally stable, not taken to bouts of anger or irrational moods. He also tends to use his avatar's body to his advantage, with mixed results.
IN GAME
In-Game Name: Brandenburg In-Game Gender: Female Race: Wolf Fang In-Game Appearance:

In her full glory, Brandenburg stands a good 5"10". While her armour changes regularly as new loot is acquired, she tries to keep to a Napoleonic era German theme, with a great flowing Imperial coat, a classic bicorne and a loose dress shirt that does nothing to hide her amble chest (as Ryan intended). Her sharp Wolf Fang ears vary from being up and alert during combat to flopping down the sides of her head at any other time. Class: Swashbuckler Class Level: 73 Skills: [Flurry] A basic Swashbuckler attack, [Flurry] launches a chain of twelve rapid attacks on a single target. [Leaping Thrust] The Swashbuckler leaps forward to deliver a punishing hit. Useful for jumping to a target out of melee range. [Blinding Speed] Slashes across the enemy's eyes, stunning them for up to three seconds and interrupting spellcasting. [Dance of Blades] A high-level channelled attack, [Dance of Blades] throws the Swashbuckler into a massive series of attacks in a 90 degree arc, stunning and dealing extreme damage to all targets within range over ten seconds. Any damage to the Swashbuckler during this time cancels the attack. The cooldown last several hours, making it an ace-in-the-hole, last resort attack. Subclass: Aristocrat Subclass Level: 52 Sub Skills: [Airs and Graces] Subtly changes the reactions from certain People of the Land, as they instinctively know that this person is a member of the nobility (in a way). [Items of Quality] Unlocks certain items in some Lander shops, generally rare ingredients and vanity items. Equipment Head: [Junker's Bicorne] [Production Class] A rather regal bicorne with a hefty plume, this hat gives negligible stat bonuses, but looks pretty damn stylish. Body: [Captain's Pride] [Artefact Class] A rare drop from a mid-level raid boss, this coat gives a bonus to attack speed and crit chance. Arms:
Left:
[Deliverance] [Production Class] Despite being ludicrously expensive, this kukri is an outstanding DoT weapon, adding stacks of bleeding damage with every hit. When paired with its twin, [Absolution], it is one of the most effecting late-game DoT Swashbuckler weapons.
Right:
[Absolution] [Production Class] The twin blade to [Deliverance], this kukri adds a stack of [Fury] to the user each time it hits, increasing the user's attack speed by 5%, up to a maximum of 50%. When used together these knives are perfectly suited to fighting raid bosses as the damage they deal increases over time, but are somewhat less effective when fighting weaker enemies. Accessories: [Pernicious Band of the Spelunker] [Magic Class] A ring that gives a bit of a trade-off in terms of stats; -10% defence but +15% movement speed. Title: N/A Party: N/A Guild: N/A Miscellaneous: As a British man, Ryan speaks with a fairly middle class English accent. When playing as Brandenburg however, he puts on quite a strong German one; after the Catastrophe however, he tends to only use the German accent when trying to sound particularly impressive or exotic. Brandenburg speaks passably good German, enough for Ryan to land a job teaching it. Has a habit of yelling 'Brandenburg' when charging; quite fond of her historic references. While Brandenburg generally uses her twin kukris in combat, she does also carry a pair of basic Magic class sabres for grinding and style.
