Wells kept his hands by his legs. He merely looked at Justine's hands, and quickly realized that this would become a quite uncomfortable situation. Again, he somewhat regretted being underdressed, as it made it him fit even more poorly among the formally clothed group. Thoughts raced through his mind, before he took a step back and waited to see the fallout. And then he realized how little he liked formal introductions. Maybe that was his real reason for taking a step back? He tried to think of something to say, but every thought seemed to make the situation even more awkward. In the end, Wells simply waited. It was inevitable for the stale silence to be broken by someone more skilled at doing so.
