Out of the corner of her eye Rin watched the man. She could feel herself putting on spikes, as it were. She had the reputation of being fairly unfriendly at times and the recent events had made that more true than ever. Something about being in a love triangle made her grouchy. A simple nod was all she offered as a greeting. 

"Or if you'd rather call me by my actual name it's Richard." he said glancing between Rin and Tess. "Though it seems you pilots prefer to go by call signs."  he remarked more quietly. "Your Valkyrie, I've heard about you from practically everyone."  he said to Rin. "But I don't know your name yet."  he said to Tess.
