The sky was a vibrant field of deep blue, spotted with frantic strokes of white cloud in a few places is if a paintbrush had been swiped across its surface, turning it into a canvas. More likely, the effect was caused by the higher then average wind that had been scheduled for that day, the Pegasi making up for a week of calmer breezes per a request of the mayor so that she could host a convention in town with visiting diplomats in peace. But whatever the underlying reasons for the weather, it had taken a bit of work on the part of one particular Pegasus to collect enough of the wispy stuff to make a cloud big enough for her to lounge on. She was here now, chin resting on one of her front hooves, sun warming her back and wings, her long tail falling over the edge of the cloud. Rainy Day, as she was known, was small for a Pegasus pony, with a bright white coat and hair the color of apples, the Red color tipping each of the feathers on her wings. She blinked her vivid blue eyes contentedly as she gazed down at The town spread out beneath her, contemplating the unfamiliar buildings and what she could see of the few residents she could make out from her vantage point. It all looked peaceful, this Ponyville, And that was her hope. The peaceful atmosphere was part of what had drawn her to this little section of Equestria, Had compelled her to purchase a cottage near the forest. Moving had been what she had been doing before she had sought a break on her lonely little cloud, unpacking boxes her father and brother had helped her bring that morning from what had been her home in Whinnyapolis. But after she had sent her family home, worried about her mother and younger brother who remained and both recovering from a severe case of the feather flu, she had begun to find that the space inside her new cottage was feeling somewhat cramped, despite the minimal amount of boxes and the lack of furniture that had yet to be delivered, and she had gratefully taken to the skies to stretch out her wings and take in a breath of fresh air. Lifting her head from her hoof, Rainy Day yawned widely before giving her head a quick shake, making her mostly wavy mane sway. Stretching out her front legs, she finally stood up, giving the rest of her body a quick shake as well before spreading her wings and preparing to leap off of her cloud. With a soft giggle, The Pegasus jumped from her perch, flapping quickly to gain speed before looping around and extending her front hooves, smashing through her cloud gleefully and leaving behind the scattered pieces to become wisps in the sky once again as she began a slow dissent back to the ground.
