Her eyes slowly made their way off of the board to meet Nidhogg's crimson gaze, face set in a calm, neutral expression. "Time spent watching wizards compete to prove their guild is the strongest is time wasted. It matters not to me which of them wins, and any education on other styles of magic is outweighed by the time needed to glean even the smallest details from observation."

I have no intention of subsuming myself to the inefficient, bureaucratic nightmare that is a guild. Any guild small enough to actually matter in the grand scheme is too small to be worth much in spectator sport. So why would I bother watching the competitions of such large groupings of wasted talent?" The Tactical Mage paused, taking an almost imperceptibly deeper breath than normal. Her voice had stayed level, without raising a decibel, but she felt like she was shouting. No need to respond to a small comment in such a way.

"I digress. My opinion of guilds is not what you asked. Likely the bandits. Monsters, if there's any to be found. Menial tasks do not pay well, and while Rei would no doubt love the excuse to lord his speed over someone else, they take too much time to be worth the effort invested. People do not need our help with house cleaning. They just want someone else to do it."
