Hotaru slid over just a tiny bit giving her more room to move around in while Jin took over the driving. She found her eyes going straight to Jin's arms and glancing at his tattoos. She wondered what her fate would have been if her father was Yakuza. Would he still be alive or would he have died in a similar state as Jin's friends? Would she have been promised to marry some other man like Jin's fiance was? She felt her life would have been completely different had her life been one of less legitimacy. She sighed and leaned back in her seat and stared at the ceiling. Erika had already fallen asleep. Her head resting upon the walls of the gun emplacement where she sat. She had not gotten a chance to relax at all today so she was taking advantage of the moment of peace they were having and resting now. She knew it would not take long before the Xenos would spread outwards from New York. She would not be surprised if they ran into a few skirmishes here and there. They would be small though nothing as big as they have faced. For now she dreamed. Miles found himself in a similar position only his head rested upon the glass window of the passenger side door. He too was asleep and like Erika getting as much of it as he could. He was exhausted from the events of today and he had to be prepared for when the worse could happen. As he drifted the light of the day began to slowly and slowly creep away until there was darkness. The sun had gone down and the roads became dark with only the high beams of the humvee lighting the way. Jin was beginning to take note of their sleeping travelers and the funny thing was he was not a bit tired at all. He looked to Hotaru for just a second and then back forward. "It wouldn't be too much to ask for something to drink would it? Something with caffeine in it okay." He asked. Hotaru's face lit up and she looked forward once more. She then raised up and climbed a little over the guns and pilfered through the supplies. She found a few sodas and took them out and even located the sandwiches she had taken from the store and grabbed a couple of those as well and slid back into her seat. She handed one of the sodas to Jin as well as a sandwich. He kept one hand on the wheel as he opened the bottle of soda open as well as the sandwich. He rose his bottle as if in toast to her kindness and took a swig of it. The drink wasn't a energy drink but it would have to do for now.
