The thought that everyone is still just staring up at Mark who's delivered an ultimatum that by accepting the confederacy the people have betrayed Alnox and the only way to be forgiven is to break away and basically go to war. Which in his current emotional state is something he may well do. Either that or the majority of them are still distracted by the food.
