I considered making the limiter in the way Kishin describes when I originally introduced the concept. The problem is that this would mean that there would be absolutely no downside to creating a ridiculously powerful character, and bunches of downsides for weak characters. You'd end up with characters that are always exactly equal to the power limit in the universe they enter, making any kind of power dynamic completely impossible. No one character would be stronger or weaker than any other, they'd all be exactly equal.

On the subject of the reboot... eh. Personally I both like and dislike it. I prefer the possibility of a new start, but I dislike the loss of valued characters and locations. Furthermore, the responsibility for the reboot, as far as it exists, falls on me. I am the one who suggested it, and I am the one who designed it. Tiny simply enacted it. Therefore any negative fallout is mine to bear.
