Trailer - Burgundy She walked alone in the night, her feet making soft indentations in the ground with each step that she took. The air was cold around her, but that could be expected of Atlas. She stopped in her tracks. She believed she was far enough from the academy and her mentor. Her peers believed she was a prodigy. Heck, even she was starting to believe that there was some truth in that lie. Only her mentor knew the truth. She would be up until the early hours of the day, every day, training, fighting. It was with her help that she found interesting uses for her semblance. She knew how to communicate with people like her mentor just by manipulating the vibration of the airwaves. She could also call animals, or deter them by vibrating at a certain frequency. Her favorite trick, though underappreciated by most of the staff at the academy was how she could manipulate the waves created by music to increase their intensity and power. Sometimes she played with water and made it into all sorts of shapes. Then there was the ferrofluids. Her thoughts stopped. It was a common instance for her to forget that she could easily use her semblance without realizing it, especially when absentmindedly thinking about it. The ground beneath her shook, but it wasn't her who had created it. She picked up her pace and broke into a sprint. She couldn't tell exactly what was now after her, but she knew that it was big. She was beyond the safety of the academy from her current spot. She knew that Grimm were the the predominant species of Remnant. Humans and Faunus were stuck in little pocket settlements, relying on walls and hunters and huntresses like what she aspired to be. She wanted to be a Specialist, one of the best huntresses in Atlas. Maybe if the other kingdoms had a similar unit, they wouldn't be stuck within the walls of safety for as long as they have been. A roar shook the trees. Bergen spun on her heel and readied Magesty within her hands. Her left hand on the handle of the sword and her right on the sheathe. The blade was pulled out from its cover and was raised high above her. the closed end of the sheathe was dug into the ground before her. Her left arm swung down, the crown shaped pommel fitting into the curve. The blade turned, locking in with the sheathe and forming into one long spear. The pounding of the ground was getting closer and louder. She didn't need her semblance to know how close it was. The source of the noise was an Ursa Major, racing towards Bergen as fast as it's legs would carry it. Her hands gripped Magesty in her full form, a smile forming on her face. "Come on Mage." She whispered to herself. Magesty was quickly pulled out of the ground as she dashed at the Ursa, her semblance using her weapon to create a sharp ringing sound. The Ursa quickly lost its footing, trampling over its own feet and rolling towards Bergen. Once more Magest stabbed the ground, pole vaulting her high into the air to stab the fallen Grimm with the blade of Magesty. Bergen twisted the sheathe, unlocking it from the sword and returning to her right side. The blade was pulled out soon after, and Bergen jumped off of the Ursa with no problem. An Ursa, especially a major, was not something that would be brought down easily by her normal slashing style. it's large and hulking body meant that it moved slower, which meant that she had to move at its pace if she wanted to fight normally. However, that would have defeated the purpose of her style in the first place. The sword was sheathed, her left hand encouraging the ursa to get back up again. As she expected, it did, and attempted to rush her again. The two collided. The Ursa brought its claws down on Bergen, but her sword slashes cut deep into its paws, counterattacking whenever possible to keep its mobility as low as possible. When the Ursa began to slow down, Bergen sped up, her slashes becoming more hectic and violent with each swing. Her semblance even rung her sword when it connected with the Grimm to create an additional sting. When it could move no longer, Bergen leaped at the beast, Magesty tucked away in the scabbard as her left hand delivered a heel palm strike to it's head armor. The Ursa's facial armor shattered, and along with it, did the rest of it's body. It was quick to dissappate into the world, leaving a huffinf and panting Bergen to herself. She stood there for what seemed to be a good thirty minutes. Quickly afterwards, her body stood tall and she jumped into the air with joy. She knew that her mentor's saying was but a joke, but Bergen took it seriously. One Grimm a day keeps the Reaper away.
